Updates

Sorry I have not kept up with this I am a slacker I have been very busy with my vinyl business and loving it. News: Going to be a grandma again in about 7 weeks it is another girl we are so excited her name is Emeri. Life has been good just a few health prob but nothing we cant work thru Carl has some health issues they are trying to find out what is going on many test no fun but he is strong and a trooper thur it all. I see the last time I posted something was when my dad was doing good well I am sure you all know how that went he passed away in Feb we miss him so much but he was in a lot of pain and he is not anymore I want to thank all for the love and support thru all our hard times as you know it only makes us stronger. Well time to get my butt to work for now.

Both Dad's Cancer treatments comming to a end

Carls Dad is done with his treatments and doing well and my Dad is done with his Chemo and doing good and then he will have 10 - 15 Radaiton treatments to the brain in Sep to make sure it has not gone to the brain which is a good thing. Wow what a summer it has been a lot of up's and down's I hope it has come to and end and we can get back to our lives and enjoy the rest of the summer. We have only got to go camping 2 times this year I hope to do more and enjoy.

Wow my baby is moved out into his own house.

Randy finally move into his new house today it was a great day but a sad day. Now we are I guess you could call us empty nesters. We are going to enjoy this big house all to ourself. I am sure we will see him a lot he only moved a mile away and he loves mom's cooking. I feel really old now mabey we need to get a new house a smaller one so it is not so big to take care of or mabey not I like to have the extra room just in case mom and dad or my brother or other family and friends come from out of Town they have a nice place to stay. Oh and did I mention I have the best scrapbooking room ever I can just excape downstairs and scrapbook or play with my Cricut cutter. But I am so ready to go Camping and fishing we need to take our trailer out and use it this year we did not get to use it much last year so we need to make up for it after we get both of our fathers Cancer taken care of oh ya Carls dad started treatment for his on Monday and is doing good he has 36 days of Radiation strait and that is it for him we hope so we have had our fill of Cancer.

My Dad

In May he was diagnosed with Cancer again he beat it the fist time it was blood now it is Lung it is taking a toll on him they have done 10 day's 2 times a day of Radiation treatments and 3 Chemo and then he got a fever on Monday and was not doing good when we went for his second treatment so they took blood and his platelets were very low so they kept him and stopped all treatments for now. He got to come home on Thurs and is doing much better and we will know Monday if they are going to start treatments again he so wants to go back home again I know it is so hard for him to have to live with us but they are not any trouble what ever it takes to get him well again. I know he is strong and he will beat it again it just will take lots of prayers. We have so many family and friends love and support it is a great feeling to have so much love thank you everyone we love you and want you to know how much it means to us to have you in our lives.

We had to wait for the weather to get better and thankfuly it did.

Christmas 2008

Christmas 2008 we had Christmas eve dinner at our house and then the kids opened there PJ's and then we played Wii and had a good time. Then on Christmas day we got up and Torrie and Terry & Madi came over to open gifts and then we went over to G-Ma & G-pa's Clifts and then came back home and had omlets then we just chilled for the day Carl and Randy played Wii. It was a good Christmas all but Mom Dickinson being in the hospital in AZ that was hard for me not to be there but we did leave on Sunday to go down to see her and dad.

Madi got a new bean bag chair and she loves to run and dive into it. And she loves to snuggle with Mom when she slows down.

Nov 08 she wanted to get in the box of peanuts so we thougt what the heck. She loved it she played for half hour and she did not want to get out but she found out that it would be fun to throw them out on the floor.

Family Photos

I finaly got the guys to go and get family photos done and I think that they turned out great. But I will let you see for youself. I love the one of Torrie and Randy and then the one of Randy kissing Madi on the cheek.

The Dr visit to find out about the Surgery and when it will take place

I went to the Nero Surgeon yesterday to find out more about having the Nero stimulator implanted in for permanent I learned a lot. I am going to go with the Small one that you recharge as shown above they will implant that in my butt and I will have the remote the black thing also shown above to adjust the strength and the location of the electrical pulses that are preprogrammed to fit my needs and they Will implant the paddle leads as shown above also the wider ones they will tunnel they under my skin from my spin to the controller and I am going to be part awake ( not looking forward to this at all) but in the end it will be worth it. I will be down for a few weeks until they heal into place. It will take place on Oct 27 2008 at Pioneer valley Hospital with Dr Harris. I will not be able to go Thur the airport security or have a MRI they are just like a pace maker and do not work with them I will have a card that explains what I have to show to security. So if you know any one that is suffering from chronic pain let them know about this it can help so many people with all kinds of pain.

I had the leads removed

On Thursday they removed the leads from my spine as you can see them below. It was weird they did not give me anything they just took the bandages off and pulled them out it really did not hurt just was a really weird feeling but it really felt good to get the bandages off they were starting to itch me and then it was great to take a shower because I could not take one with them in. Now what is next I have a appointment with a Nuro surgeon on Oct 9 and then we will make a date to have one put in permanently I am looking forward to it in someways but in someways I am not I am not looking forward to them cutting me open and then the pain and the recovery I will not be able to do much not even hold my Madi. But in the end it will be worth it because it will help with the pain so I can do more thing's with my family & friends and not be in so much pain. The Nuro stimulator is such a amazing device it can change someones life for the better. I also want to thank all those who brought over dinner it was so appreciated .

Update on my Surgery

I had the leads put in on Monday Sep 29 2008 for the trial of the Nero stimulator. You are saying what is that ? Well it is a like a pacemaker and a tens unit they inserted 2 leads into my spine they have little contacts on them that can be programed to send shock waves to my brain to block the pain from going up to my brain it feels like a tingly feeling and so far it is good I am sore from where they put the leads in but getting better and I have them taken out on Thur Oct 2 2008 . If it works for me and I can stand the feeling then I will go to a surgeon and they will cut open my spine and put them in permanently and they will put a small device under my skin that the lead run to that I can control the different shock waves. So far I am doing good I would rather feel the tingle than the pain. I want to thank my Great family for all they do for me when I am down and for all the love I just do not think I could make it without them coming to visit and bringing me the beautiful flowers that make my day every time I see them it just reminds me of how much I am loved. And thank's to all who called or emailed to see how I was doing I do have some great friend's. Ok enough of the mushy stuff. I can't wait to go to the Desert star play tonight and to just get out of the house. That is all for now time to go rest.

Monday is the big day

I am finally going to get my Nero stimulator implanted in for my back pain. I am excited to see if it will help me with the pain. What is this ? Well it is a device that will be implanted into my spine and will send shock waves to my brain to block the pain from my back. I have been waiting for over a year and a half. If this works then they will send me to a surgeon and I will have one put in permanent and that is more of a recovery I am not looking forward to that but I am to the end of it all so I can at least get some of my life back and enjoy my family and do the things I love and have not been able to to for the past 10 years sense my auto accident. I have my mom and family that will help me thru this as always they are always there for me when needed I love them and would not know what I would do without them.

My family

I am so blessed I have the greatest husband and 2 great kids. I have been married for almost 27 years and still love holding hand and spending time with my husband I don't know what I would do without him. Then their is my daughter Torrie she is so beautiful and talented and she is married to the love of her life Terry and they gave me the greatest gift of all a grandbaby. I love being a grandma most people say they don't like to be called a grandma but I am proud to be called a one. Her name is Madisyn ShaeAnn Allred her middle name is after me and my mother. She is the light of our lifes. And then their is my son Randy he is a very hard worker and loves to play sports and he is very good at it. He still lives at home he just has not found his love yet but he still has time he is still young. I am a stay at home mom and grandma I love to watch my Madi and go shopping with Torrie. I love my life and everyone in it I am so blessed to have the people I have in my life.
